The Shed.
As I spend many hours building new things or rebuilding old ones I have built myself a workshop, officially known as "the shed". It's the biggest thing you can build without planning permission and I can easily spend all day in there, although putting a phone in was probably a mistake.
Needless to say I was not impressed by the 'off the shelf' items that the likes of B&Q offered, neither the layout or the quality was what I was looking for... and the price!!
So after a bit of research and some 3D CAD work to establish a general layout, a ground up building programme was started.

Above: Base frame and the flooring were the starting point (the cat gave a helping paw!)

Above: Frame finished and a waterproof skin gives a dry(if draughty) workspace.

Above: Outsides on, inside insulated and plasterboarded, a kitchen unit or two were fetched from Ikea.

Above: It was never going to have anything but a slate roof was it? All these were hand nailed with copper nails to prevent corrosion (nail sickness) of the nail stem.

Above: All my tools now have a warm dry home and as soon as this I have a gap between projects I'm going to sort it all out inside.
